Cabarete and Goleta Lagoon, reforestation program

This natural monument, which corresponds to about 77.5 Km2 coexist abundant species of endemic flora and fauna of the area. In order to Empower and educate the children of the community of Cabarete; The Cabarete Caves Guides Association, Local Ministry of the Environment Ministry, Slow Food, Paola Millen, Buttlerfly Foundation and Seawinds Condominiums as the main sponsor, have developed a reforestation plan of five planting days with cocunoba uvifera shrubs (beach grapes).

The first of five activities in which the girls of the Foundation Mariposa realized the first day where after an ecological talk, were planted 75 units, was held on February 18. The next four days are scheduled for the days; March 21 (World Forestry Day), March 22 (World Water Day), April 12 (Day Against Air Pollution) and April 22 (World Earth Day).
