You can find in the center of the city of Puerto Plata, a Victorian mansion, opened in 1982 with one of the largest and most interesting collections, thus becoming the Dominican Amber Museum. His unique pieces consist with tonal variations from honey to yellow-green, brown and blue exotic amber. Its most important piece is a lizard of 40 cm in perfect preservation, and other fossilized pieces dating from about 40 million years.
The exceptionality of his pieces makes the visit to the Amber Museum a unique experience, open during the day from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, with an economic cost of 50 pesos per person.
